Have you ever read any literature? What kind of literature work was it? Who wrote it? What
was it about? What did you learn from it?

I prefer the non-fiction books to the fiction books. Especially I like the non-fiction book, "Guns, Germs, and Steel", written by Jared Mason Diamond. It explain how the europian conquer the africa and the americas at the age of discovery.

 

He said it is important that geographical factors is major, not race. In europe, there is long plains horizontally and it is good for agriculture. On the other hand, in Africa and Americas, they don't have long plains. Even it is not horizontally, it is vertically. (When the latitude changes, the climate changes. It is not good for agriculture.)

 

Anyway I love the non-fiction books because they give me not only knowledge but chance for thinking myself about the topic.

 

Which do you like more, Popular Literature Versus Scholarly Literature? Tell me the reasons why you like more.

Let's Talk - Talk about yourself

Have you ever written a poem? What do you think is the most difficult factor to write a poem? Which is more difficult for you, in English or Korean? And why?

I only wrote poem when I was elementry school student. 

Maybe I thought the most difficult factor is an unfamiliar expression. I don't care for rhythm and rhyme when I am talking. But I should care for those things when I write the poem. Exactly It is not rule, but I did it.

 

Korean will be more comfortable. Because I can't use English fluently. It is too fast for me to write a poem in english.

 

Tell me about one of the most precious moments that you have had so far. Who were you with? What happened? Why is it so precious for you?

These days, every nights are precious moments for me. When I see my wife sleeping, I feel happy and responsible.

 

Honestly, I take pictures of my wife sleeping because she has a bad sleep habit. (She knows it)
I am going to collect those things, and I will make a album. Finally I will show my future children and we will be happy together.

Literature is a mirror of society. There are some pieces of literature that reflect the times and circumstances when it was created. What do you think of this statement? If so, how do you think it reflects the times?

I totally agree. The literature was born by the writer. And the writer was born by society.

I think that writers are also a piece of society. It is not easy to come up with content which goes beyond the awareness of them.
